Which are the most successful animals on Earth?

There are more insects living and flying inside an area size of a small town than there are human beings on Earth. They just live about everywhere- only the oceans are insect- free. Insects have six legs, four wings, and a body divided in to three parts.

20,000 species Powerful hind legs and chewing mouth parts






3. Mantises


2,000 species Triangular head, large eyes, extendable front legs for catching prey



4. Cockroaches


4,000 species Oval, Flattened bodies with a leathery casing




5. Termites


2,750 Species Soft bodies, chewing mouthparts and short antennae. Live in colonies



6. Bugs


82,000 species two pairs of wings, and long “beaks” that pierce and suck




7. True flies


122,000 species Single pair of wings, with small balancing organs called halters


8. Beetles


370,000 species Toughened front wings encase and protect hind wings


9. Butterflies and moths


165,000 species Special feeding mouth parts, scales on body and wings.


10. Ants, Bees, and wasps


  198,000 species many live in colonies, but some are solitary
